Michelle Day 1-Cando

I am on another crazy adventure, however this time I decided to discover North Dakota for Spring Break. Going to school the last two years in North Dakota, I never had a chance to see the western part of the state. I saw an opportunity to take this course and I am very excited to see the delightful surprise that rural communities have to offer.

On my first my day of my journey, we came across a small town called Cando, a very warm community that believes in the concept of teamwork.   I am very impress on how this community operates; it reminds me of one big happy family. Also, I enjoyed seeing their motto around town to provide their residences with confidence. This motto has the intention of impacting their residences or even tourists by the saying, “You Can-Do Better in Cando”. This motto is something that I plan to carry on this week’s journey in rural communities.
