Cando, ND, is filled to the brim with entrepreneurs.  Some of the people we talked to today included J.R. Gibbens and three of his daughters.  Gibbens, whose family farm is about to harvest its 138th crop, and his daughters have bought, started, and expanded businesses in the small rural town.  Not only are they business owners, but they members of the Chamber of Commerce, the city council, coaches, and volunteers within the town.  Many of the citizens we spoke to had left the community but returned at a later time, or fell in love with the charming town after spending time in it.  These people are an inspiration, as they’ve fought to keep the businesses central to the town’s survival alive and thriving
